Yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminde kullanılacak ders kitaplarının toplumun sahip olduğu cinsiyet anlayışını yansıtacak özellikte hazırlanması, bu konudaki eksikliklerin saptanıp giderilmesi gerekmektedir. Bunun için alanda sıklıkla kullanılan ders kitaplarının cinsiyet temelinde incelenmesi ve bu amaçla alana katkıda bulunulması sağlanmalıdır. Bu amaçla çalışmada alanda en çok talep edilen kitaplar arasından seçilen dört farklı ders kitabı, Türk kültürünün sahip olduğu cinsiyet anlayışını yansıtıp yansıtmaması açısından incelenmiştir. Belirlenen ders kitaplarının oluşturulan genel bir çerçeve ve kategoriler kullanılarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelemesi yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak söz konusu cinsiyet tercihinde kitaplar arasında farklılıklar olduğu gözlenmiş, bazı kitapların Türk kültürüne ait geleneksel cinsiyet anlayışını yansıtan, bazılarının ise cinsiyet kalıplarının dışına çıkan örneklerle ön plana çıktığı görülmüştür. Textbooks that will be used in teaching Turkish to foreigners should be prepared in such a way as to reflect the understanding of the gender of the society and the deficiencies in this subject should determined and eliminated. It should be ensured that the textbooks frequently used in the field are examined and the basis of gender and contribute to the field for this purpose. For this purpose, four different textbooks which are selected among the most demanded books in the field, were examined whether they reflect the gender perception of Turkish culture or not. The textbooks which are determined, were analyzed with the content analysis method by using a general framework and categories. Consequently, in question to gender, it is observed that there are differences about gender preference through the books , and some of the books reflect gender patterns that belongs to traditional Turkish culture and some of them stand out with the examples out of the molds of gender patterns.
